We imagined a future for offshore drillers, where drilling is guided via real-time 3D visualizations. Collaborating with one of the world's leading drilling company, we delivered a production-ready design foundation for MVP launch.

Today drillers rely on raw data from sensors and information from their Directional Driller to visualize in their mind what’s happening downhole. As we were giving drillers “eyes at the bit”, we started exploring a fundamentally new mental model – changing the way decisions are made and how teams interact. To move from vision to reality, the team crossed boundaries of traditional UI design, applying 3D design and 2.5D prototyping techniques. We entered a truly convergent space between UX and 3D computer graphics.
